Hello, I'm Charlotte
I work as a project manager. a parent. An expat based in London, United Kingdom.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually opened a new chapter living abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn’t in the cards for the long run. As with many international relocations, it started with a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, heightened expectations. Daily chores seemed more complex than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and a lot of learning on the fly. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit our family, connected with other families, and began shaping something that felt steady.
Why I Built Relocate & Thrive
Most online guidance either targeted corporate relocations or offered only shallow tourism content. What was missing was a frank, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in United Kingdom.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in United Kingdom
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- Just a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in United Kingdom continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in London or anywhere in United Kingdom, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Charlotte
